Abstract: The delayed expression of chromosomal instability could be induced by 137 Cs - γ ray in mouse marrow stem cells in vivo and in vit ro. The result s showed that 1) , After 14 days incubating of irradiated BALB/ C mouse marrow stem cells , the unstable chromosomal aberration still appeared in CFU - A. 2) , The appearance of the unstable chromosomal aberration could persist for above 30 days in irradiated A4 cells. The statistical analysis of dose2effect response was obversed. 3) , The chromosomal instabiliy could be t ransmitted in BALB/ C mice in vivo for up to 30 days. The f requencies for chromosomal aberrations on 30th day is higher than that of 5th、10th and 20th day. The effect s of chromosomal instability t ransmission is unkowns. It is possible that the delay of chromosomal instability expression lead to cells death and cells t ransformation.
